The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to identify your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuum with mapping vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of a button. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can remove pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than the vibrating pads.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for Best Robot Vacuum and Mop more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice, but they also make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
