The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of one button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We like the claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
