The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots that vacuum and mop on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move on whenever it comes across one.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or merge rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and [Redirect-302] was among the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could want. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum mop robot cleaner (Suggested Resource site) is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
