John Holt has a decent record with his select string - Number Theory proving the main flag bearer for the Leicestershire yard - and DUTCH LADY (Nottingham, nap, 3.00) could go close back at a track she likes.

There was precious little wrong with her effort last time at Thirsk where she found track specialist Disclosure too strong in the closing stages, but she looks feasibly handicapped at present and, with conditions to suit, she could be one to side with in an open race.

Later on the card, ROWLESTONE LASS (Nottingham, nb, 5.05) bids to end a frustrating sequence of runners-up finishes in the finale.

There is no doubting Richard Price's filly has plenty of ability, even if her win-to-run ratio doesn't suggest that and she has some very solid track form to recommend her from her effort behind Mao Chinn Tire.



Hopefully, Cam Hardie, who was in good form at Leicester on Monday, can delay her challenge until late on and the selection can gain a well deserved success.

TASMANIAN (Beverley, 4.15) clocked a very healthy speed figure at Newcastle in winning his maiden and could be tough to catch if he's allowed to dominate from the front under the mercurial Joe Fanning.

FENDALE (Trained by Bryan Smart)

Would not be stretching it to say he would probably have won the Listed Harry Rosebery Stakes at Ayr on Friday had he got a clear run but was hooked up in the congested traffic that congregated on the stands' rail trying to grab what was the fastest ground all meeting. The drop back to five furlongs suited a colt who had weakened when previously tried in the furlong longer Gimcrack Stakes.

MISTER BRIGHTSIDE (Trained by Jeremy Noseda)

Was thrown in against a couple of more experienced and proven rivals for his Sandown debut but there was enough in his close-up third-place finish to suggest this son of Lord Shanakill has a bright future. He can be found easier opportunities to open his account. 

COUNT MONTCRISTO (Trained by Kevin Ryan)

The fact this colt holds a couple of Group One entries was a positive sign ahead of his Ayr debut and, although they look ambitious, he seems to have some ability. Very slow to start, his race was almost over before it begun but jockey Jamie Spencer did get him into a challenging position before he ultimately faded into sixth behind Lostock Hall. Hopefully, he will have learned from the experience. 

TOUJOURS L'AMOUR (Trained by William Haggas)

The one-mile fillies' maiden at Newmarket on Saturday has a good recent record in producing some decent prospects - Oaks and King George winner Taghrooda won it last year. This filly snatched victory on the line having been settled at the back of the pack in the early stages by jockey Joe Fanning. She has the pedigree which suggests she will stay further Medical advocacy and Outreach Sex Toys website could be a decent middle distance prospect next season.
