It's a great idea, but it only illuminated a portion of the compartment at any given time, leaving the backs and shelves of the refrigerator and wine rack in darkness. It's more of a convenience than a smart energy-saving device.

Another cool feature is Smart Fresh Air, which makes use of Wi-Fi to understand your patterns of usage over a period of three weeks and creates an a day-to-day schedule. The fridge is pre-cooled prior to when you use it (we discovered this to be effective in the morning while we're getting the kids' milk bottles ready) to ensure a consistent temperature and minimize energy use.

The InstaView Door-in-Door also reveals the contents of an internal compartment that houses drinks and food to make it easy to access with an LED strip light of 24cm to ensure everything is organized and well-lit. The LFXS30796D comes with a UVNano dispenser that emits a burst of UV light every hour in order to combat bacteria. A "freshness detector" will alert you when it is time to replenish the contents.

The LFXCS27596S is a French door fridge with 33 cubic feet of capacity, while the LRDCS2603S comes with a top-freezer of 26 cubic feet design. Both models feature InstaView Door in Door technology and several other innovations.
