Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it comes with a flying 'B' paperweight, a set of keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company that takes its aesthetics seriously. It's evident in the exact location of its quilting the choice of leather sourced from cattle by-products, the wood from sustainably managed forests and the unique patterns on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in and showcases its stunning sculptural design and power by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance it was the largest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand. The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship, Bently Key including the introduction of the digital instrument cluster as well as an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, an artisan-made docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic smart glass that can be changed between opaque and transparent at the touch of the button.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019 one hundred years after it was established. The marque, which is owned by Volkswagen without a partner following years of dispute with BMW and BMW, had planned a variety of special events and launches to commemorate this historic occasion. Design

Bentley is a renowned brand for its luxurious and ostentatious cars and even keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver. Bentley Mulliner reinvented and designed the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It has two opposing pairs of rear seats modelled on luxury private aircraft and provides passengers with unbeatable comfort and privacy. A custom heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system was designed to ensure each passenger has the ideal temperature control.

The Mulsanne is equipped with twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that puts out 560bhp, and 479lb-ft of torque. This incredible power is enhanced by a new suspension design that offers Bentley's trademark hushed ride.

Bentley has launched a new specification for cars built after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centennial. It is known as the Centenary Specification. The cabin features cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests seats, the interior and other areas of the car. This enhances the celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and the second that starts the vehicle. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. This feature helps you get into and out of your vehicle.

Each key takes about two days to make. It is cut by hand shape, sewn, sealed and polished to provide an extremely high-end finish. It is lightweight and durable and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a more premium feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help stop keyless entry theft. This device is put into the remote control fob, and disables it when the bently key (check out this one from linkagogo.trade) has not been utilized for a period of a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the values of the company that include high-quality craftsmanship, engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Over 4,000 people work at its Crewe headquarters, bently Key and are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley automobiles. These workers apply skills handed down for generations and apply them to the latest in technology in the automotive industry. This is the characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to design their own car. The "mood station" allows customers to choose images that inspire them. These can be anything from scenic vistas and sporting events. When each selection is made, a pattern appears that reveals the model and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.

The resulting configuration is then loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards which are presented to guests in a handmade key case. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps, which illuminate the path of the entrance door, and display the owner's logo or name as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes 500 man-hours on average to build and build the Mulsanne. The inability to adopt new technology is the key to this laborious task. Instead of employing a machine for spacers to the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, not using sensors built-in to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spots.

During the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one of a kind - the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler bentley keys. The 100 limited edition cars include an item key that shows an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
