It's not perfect and sometimes it is stuck on things like unruly toys, tangled cables or books.

The S7 Max Ultra can be operated via its smartphone app. This is where you can find all of the advanced features that set it apart from other robot vacuums and mop cleaners. There are room-specific mopping and cleaning settings, a schedule planner and a power strength choice for vacuuming and mopping. During our tests, it did not get stuck on anything and avoided curtains, power cords and other obstructions that could be a problem all the time.

The Narwal Freo also does a good job of keeping its noise low when it's in use and registering just 64dB in suction mode. The Freo's maintenance process is not entirely hands-free, however. It is necessary to clean the primary brush roll as well as the side brushes frequently.

I found it easy to control the Combo J7+ through the mobile app, which is very intuitive and well designed. It works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa so you can begin cleaning with a voice. The only downside I found was that the Combo j7+'s tiny water tank means you have to refill it often or limit its cleaning to smaller areas and run it in eco-mode more often.

Another drawback is that the Combo J7+'s dust bin is small and you must empty it manually. I also discovered that the Combo j7+'s mop pads to be less effective than those of other brands which is unfortunate because it's an otherwise excellent combination robot.
