iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is an amalgamation of the Roomba J7 vacuum cleaner as well as the wet mopping feature. The robot can remove sticky spills while making sure to avoid obstacles. It will return to its dock after its cleaning cycle. It's a great option for homes with hardwood floors and can also be used to clean tiles or rugs with a mix of surfaces.

When the iRobot Combo j7+ realizes that it's on a surface that needs to be cleaned with water, a small robot arm rises and swings a tiny mopping pad under it. It was a very intuitive system that performed during my testing. However, I discovered that it was not able to completely wipe away water-based liquids like wine or juice. Thankfully, the mopping pad can be cleaned and reused.

The iRobot Combo's front camera is also useful. It can identify hazards such as power cords and pet waste and avoid them to ensure thorough cleaning. This feature works better than the cameras found on other robot vacuums, which tend to get caught up in things like rug tassels. It is worth noting, however, that the iRobot Combo ju7+'s front camera is prone to blind spots, and can miss certain items.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ is expensive, but it does the job well enough to justify its price. It has a high rating from customers who appreciate its clever features. However, it's worth looking at alternatives, like the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. It's less expensive than iRobot Combo h7+, and it can heed voice commands without needing for third-party integration. It also mop and vacuum in one sweep. It also has a huge reservoir of water and its mopping pad self-cleansing.

Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision

The Scout RX3 Home Vision is an entire robot vacuum and mop that has the advanced features you'd expect from a top-end brand. You can remotely monitor your home using its camera, and you can also watch it in action via the app. (Although the app doesn't provide the same high-quality images as the camera).

Mops are excellent for cleaning tiles or wood, as well as picking up dust, dirt, and pet hair. They also have efficient obstacle avoidance, which doesn't push small and light objects, such as toys or socks, across the floor. It's the best mopping robot we've evaluated. Unfortunately, the robot isn't equipped with other features that are expected from the type of robot it is. While the mop does a great job, their maximum running time is 60 minutes which is a bit less than we'd like to see on such a high-end product. Also, it doesn't automatically empty itself into its charging station or follow up a mopping session with an easy vacuum.

It's still an excellent choice for those who have large homes, as the cleaning and mapping process are quick and efficient. The app is easy to use, and you can create schedules. You can still use the remote to control the device if you do not have a strong WiFi connection.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision is costly however it comes with a lot of smart functions that make up the cost. Live monitoring of homes is a great feature, and it looks pretty cool as well. It's a nice option for parents with small children or pets, or anyone who wants to monitor their home when they're away. Many people who own a self-emptying robot vacuum mop and vacuum are amazed at the difference their floors can make after using them often.

Roborock S7 Max Ultra

Roborock's latest robotic mop and vacuum combo that self-empty, the S7 Max Ultra ($1299 at Amazon) is a fantastic upgrade over the previous S6 and S7 models. It comes with a variety of useful features, including more aggressive mopping as well as higher-powered suction (up up to 5,100Pa as opposed to earlier models which had a lower power of 2,400Pa). It also has precise lidar navigation, which functions like radar in 3D, meaning it can identify things like baseboards, chair legs and furniture legs, and effortlessly move around them. It is able to create custom cleaning routines you can launch by tapping the screen, for instance, an "After Meals mode" that intensively vacuums and scrubs the kitchen floors.

This two-in-one also has an exclusive feature that isn't found on other robots: VibraRise, which raises the mopping plates when it detects carpeting so it doesn't let area rugs get wet and makes mopping more efficient. It also has a special deep-cleaning mode that vacuums and mops carpets in a single pass, removing more dust and dirt than mops that spin. The app can be used to schedule weekly cleanings, or to clean on demand.

While the S7 Max Ultra does a fantastic job at its tasks however, it's not without its flaws. The cost is the biggest. It's the highest-priced robot vacuum and mop combo I've ever reviewed. Other issues aren't specific to this particular model, but more typical of robotic vacuums as a whole: it does not handle large spills and, sticky messes well.

The S7 Max Ultra is easy to set up: just connect it, sync it with your phone using Wi-Fi and then begin a clean-up. After that, you can customize the settings within the app, such as setting no-go zones and scheduling cleanings.

Another benefit is its impressive obstacle avoidance system. During testing, it only got stuck twice in tight spaces, which is a lot better than the S6 MaxV's three tries and the X1 Omni's four tries. The app allows you to mark an object as a temporary obstruction and the S7 Max Ultra will ignore it when cleaning in the future.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that include vacuuming and mops in its design. It's one of the most affordable robots we've reviewed. The Freo is an excellent choice for anyone who needs a combination cleaner. Its impressive cleaning performance, as its wide array of customization options, make it a great choice. However, its lack of advanced obstacle avoidance features and an elegant app dampened our enthusiasm for this model.

The first thing you need to do is scan your space. This will help Freo identify the area it will cleanse. It takes around a minute to complete this process. Once the Freo has a better idea of where everything is, it will be better able to navigate in subsequent cleanings.

Freo can also register a room to be used for mopping or dry vacuuming. This enables it to be more efficient in switching between these two functions. It's also smart enough to recognize when its mop pads are dirty and then automatically return to the dock for a refill, then head back out to clean and wet hard surfaces.

The main strength of the Freo is its ability to vacuum and mop well on carpets. The two mop pads automatically rise when the Freo comes into contact with carpet. This allows it to use less energy and resources while still removing dirt. It can also remove sand and oatmeal without needing to do multiple passes using the vac/mop.

The Freo's unique tilted side brush are based on street sweeper trucks and do an excellent job of pulling in and sweeping out dirt particles. The rounded body and high-end finish make the Freo an eye-catching look. The robot is controlled by an LCD screen on its base station. However, we prefer to use the app for smartphones.

The app offers many options to customize Freo's behavior. These include schedules for busy areas as well as spot cleanings. There's also an option to activate the parental lock. You can also choose how long it takes the Freo to dry its mop pads and the frequency you wish it to empty its bin. You can set the maximum size of the trash container.
