The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, mop & vacuum in one however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We like the statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and mop & vacuum In one more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart vacuum routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its Mop & Vacuum In One pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
