Controls

The 700s do not feature physical controls on the ear cups unlike the majority of Bose's headphones. Instead you'll find a touch panel on the front of the right ear cup that detects finger taps and swipes. Tap twice to play or pausing or pause, swipe up to increase the volume, and down to lower it, and then forward to skip tracks. A single-tap answers calls, and a double tap rejects an calls that are incoming.

The headset allows you to switch on the "aware" mode, which allows some passthrough of your environment. It's a great feature for anyone who has to be aware of their environment while listening to music or making phone calls.
