iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

Contrary to other robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. Like all mops and vacuums it is susceptible to clogging by particles, like tennis shoes, jewelry, thread, or other loose items.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. It also lets you track the progress of your mops and Floor cleaning their battery condition.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is a robot vacuum and best mop vacuum that combines the smart mapping capabilities of iRobot along with the ability to handle spills. It has the same acoustic sensors onboard and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that is used by other Roomba options and maps your home 7x faster than earlier models. It also lets you set Keep out Zones (for rooms which the robot should not enter) and Clean Zones (for rooms that it must be able to clean).

In my testing it, the Combo J7+ was successful at avoiding spraying water onto the rug. The robot backed off when it came across a rug and didn't try to go over it, even although I moved the rug several times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank which is easy to remove and refilled. This makes it much easier to use as opposed to the mop pads that are found on other 2-in-1 robotic arms. It is equipped with iRobot PrevisionVision obstacle-avoidance technology that is more advanced than other systems of this kind.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 is an updated version of the Roomba i3. It comes with the same external dirt compartment and it also has a HEPA filter to snuff out allergens, but now it also supports smart mapping. You can now create no-go areas to prevent the vacuum from cleaning these areas repeatedly. The i3 Plus still has a number of other great features too like its advanced cleaning system that has a 10x power-lifting suction and three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured finish to keep dust, pet hair and fingerprints away.

It is able to perform well on unfinished flooring and can clean up the majority of debris however, it was a bit difficult with pet hair on low pile carpets. It is a great choice with high pile carpets though and is quieter than its competitors. The i3 costs a bit more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads and refills the reservoir of water.
