The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of one button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and best Affordable robot vacuum allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
