The ghost immobiliser was created to fight key hacking and cloning. The device is connected to your vehicle's data network CAN, and creates a unique pin number using the factory buttons on your dashboard and steering. This stops the criminal from being able to start your car. If the wrong PIN code is entered, your car isn't able to start and it will be impossible for them to escape with your joy and pride.

OBD port hacking

OBD port hacking has become the most recent method employed by professional car ghost immobiliser thieves. Thieves can access your vehicle's OBD port with nothing more than a laptop, an application and a few cables which can be purchased online for less than PS50. Once they have access, they are able to do anything they like including resetting your vehicle's fault codes to tuning your car, or even getting it stolen in less than a minute.

It can prevent your car from being stolen by requiring a unique PIN code to be entered along with your key fob before you can start the engine or leave. It does this by communicating with the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit) on the CAN Data circuit, and is completely undetectable to any code grabbing or RF scanning technology. It has a Service/Valet Mode that allows your vehicle to start without requiring a PIN code.

To use an OBD hacking device you must have an operating system that is capable of reading the OBD protocol. These can be bought for less than PS100 on eBay or Amazon. Also, you will require a cable that has OBD pins connected to CAN Bus. These cables can be bought on eBay or Amazon for PS50. The cable has to be connected to the wiring harness of your car, such as the radio wiring harness.

Once the hacker gains access to the OBD port of your vehicle, they will send diagnostics to the system with high baud rates that will cause a crash of the car's CAN, and prevent the systems from working. This could cause the engine to stop or even lock doors, and even the brakes to be engaged.

No need for additional remotes or key fobs

The car immobiliser is a great piece of anti-theft technology that is used by billions modern vehicles across the globe. Using engine ECU software to prevent vehicles from starting if a false transponder signal is transmitted to it, an aftermarket immobiliser is an excellent method of protecting your vehicle.

The PIN code sequence can be changed whenever you want to block previous drivers and even includes an override option in the event of lost sequences. During installation, the installer will demonstrate how to accomplish this. The system also has the option of a valet mode that can be used to temporarily disable the pin input sequence so that your mechanic or garage can service the car without needing to know the code. This is ideal for customers who wish to surrender their vehicle for valet parking or service, but don't want to divulge the PIN sequence.

Every vehicle is tested
