Having the right tools available is crucial when working out in the field. This kit is designed with this in mind and includes all the basic hand tools required to repair items in the field. The tools are made of steel with only a small amount of plastic to ensure they will stand up to use. Repair Patches

If you've a hole or two in your gears, consider adding adhesive patches to your rep kit. These heavy-duty patches come with a high-performance adhesive pre-applied to a rugged polyurethane backing that allows a tear to heal under pressure. Available in clear or color options they offer a long-lasting protection against abrasions, moisture, saltwater, sunlight and extreme temperatures.

If your kit doesn't include any of the above items, you may want to consider adding a water-proof Aquaseal wader sealant. This water-tight adhesive will bond to fabrics and metals for an indestructible fix. It's ideal for repairs to drysuits and may be applied in the field. Allow the sealant to set for up to 12 hours prior applying the repaired gear.

The most essential field fabric repair kit for nylon tents with silicone impregnated packs, rainwear, and more. This kit includes one Clean Tape repair patch as well as an swatch of sil-nylon. Also included is a 1/4 ounce Gore-Tex Sealant & Repair Adhesive & Sealant tube and brush. Apply patch to clean smooth, flat surface. Allow at least 1/2 inch overlap. Remove release paper from patch surface and rub it with moderate finger pressure (adhesive side down).

Surface prep is important to ensure successful repairs. Oils on boots or shoes sunblocks or solvents like acetone can impact adhesion. For the best results, you should make use of Seam Grip alone or with Cotol-240 Cure Accelerator to speed curing time to two hours.

Adhesive Patches
